Congratulations to Torrington Savings Bank
Innovative Lender of the Year Award Winner

ASC would like to congratulate Torrington Savings Bank on winning the Innovative Lender of the Year Award from Mortgage Technology Magazine. The magazine annually recognizes leading lenders and servicers in the mortgage industry for their efforts and innovation with the use of lending technology.

Torrington Savings, the first community bank to win the award, was recognized for their technology innovations which included the implementation of the RemoteLender"' Hosted Loan Origination System, a rebranded version of ASC's Hosted Powerlender LOS.

In 2009, Torrington was faced with replacing an aging LOS that was not being sufficiently enhanced by their vendor. One option was to purchase new hardware, a new LOS and new database software. Instead, they elected to look for a 'hosted' LOS solution, and chose RemoteLender.

RemoteLender, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology helped Torrington reduce infrastructure and support outlays, free-up resources and reduce downtime while providing them with a robust, business-rules-based LOS in a secure environment.

With RemoteLender, Torrington's loan officers now employ a PC or laptop with Internet connectivity to quickly access program features and loan records anytime, anywhere, and it provides them with all the tools necessary to perform every aspect of mortgage lending, from prequalification to post-closing.

Specialized Data Systems, an ASC business partner for more than 20 years, performed the deployment, training and front-line support for Torrington, and has been the major reason for the success of RemoteLender. ASC salutes Marc Riccio and his staff of professionals at SDS.
